Brings back memories....

I have to share with you these pics of my gorgeous little brother, Jack!! Or rather, not so little anymore lol

I thought I'd end up stumped for today's HS:MS photo prompt, 'thoughtful', but I went up to my Ma's today and took my camera to get some pictures of my little bro's first day at Secondary School. He's a natural in front of the camera - so relaxed!! And he looks great!! So I thought I'll grab my chance and get him to pose for one for me!!

I'm so chuffed with the photos I got of him today - we took some fun ones but I got some cracking shots of him - he looked so smart and grown up! He really enjoyed his first day there and said the food was excellent!!

Brings back memories of my time at school, which was not so excellent initially. A bit of bullying and nastiness from other kids about one thing or another - kids are sometimes the cruellest of the species aren't they? I still dont think that enough is done in schools to combat bullying - but what can teachers do? Their hands are tied I guess - it's getting harder and harder for teachers to discipline children. At school, one girl a few years below me committed suicide, after suffering at the hands of these bullies for a number of years - it was a wake up call for many of us at the time, but there was no lasting change, and I can't see a time when there will be....

On a brighter note lol...my brother is at a different school to the one I went to - teachers communicate much better with the parents there, and his first day was 'amazing' - you dont get many kids saying that on their first day now, do you? There's hope and light at the end of the tunnel after all.
